I got an A in this course, but I would not describe it as an easy A. It takes more effort than I expected because Professsor Colston has high expectations for us.
Instructor: Super nice, shy, awkward guy. He really cares, but he seems newer at lecturing.
Course: This course is stressful as the assignments tend to pile up. There are also not clear guidelines for what to expect. I would highly recommend meeting with Professor Colston to understand what he wants before/after class. He will tell you himself that the quizzes are hard. They are timed, take home, and open note with usually ~10 questions. It is application based, but the struggle is that you need to know exactly what was discussed in class to do well. I would recommend condensing the information to study.
Breakdown of Grades: Individual assignment 1 (country report): 15%, individual assignment 2 (human subjects research basic course): 5%, individual assignment 3 (book club): 15%, 6 quizzes with one drop: 30%, Group project: 25%, and class participation: 10%
