Marcus is a very chill and understanding guy who doesn't think very highly about grades. In fact, that's one of the things we talked about a lot in this class. This class is a kind of prerequisite for working at the writing center, but it's not about learning grammar rules, it's more about learning methods of approaching tutoring depending on the type of student, and thinking critically about these methods, and creating your own tutoring philosophy. There is very little real homework, almost no writing (1 writing assignment as due during quarantine), and one group assignment which is just facilitating a group discussion with a partner. There's assigned reading for most classes and there is also in-class tutoring session practice. Because of COVID-19 a lot of assignments were cut, but still a great class and a chill A
