Sophie is THE best professor I've ever had at UVA. As someone who's just trying to make it through to get a degree she's the only professor to get me actually interested again and that meant a lot to not absolutely hate academia for a semester. She's the only professor that made me feel that she cared more about us and our learning than our grades. I highly recommend anyone take a class with her if you get the chance.
