I actually took this course in Spring 2021, but that was not an option to select. This review only pertains to James Lee as the instructor, since I know other professors assign different problems throughout the course.
I learned a lot in this course and think the best way to describe it is very, very fair. The course was taught very traditionally (which I enjoyed a lot), with 2 synchronous lectures a week, a bi-weekly homework, 2 midterms, and one final. If you showed up to lecture, you were prepared to do the work for the course. If he ever assigned a trickier problem for homework, he always was available after class or in office hours and sometimes extended deadlines when we were behind schedule. He also was willing to implement curves if a certain assignment (including exam) average was low, but our class never had to have assignments curved.
This is one of those classes where if you show up to lecture, really take time to complete and understand the homeworks, and ask questions, your grade will reflect your work.
