would not recommend at all. although the material is interesting, the grading is unnecessarily harsh for a second writing requirement. Grossman is very strange, he will read over and help you with your papers, but is incredibly unorganized. There are no formal rubrics or instructions for any of the papers which are a majority of your grade. He arbitrarily changed the grading scale at the end of the semester, causing my A to turn into an A-. subject matter is interesting but the reading is incredibly dense and unenjoyable. unless you're a history buff, wouldn't reccomend at all
