CS 4774

Hadi is a GOAT! He's such a chill professor, and he gives so much opportunities (up to 20%) for extra credit. The extra credit opportunities were writing lecture notes (each notes you submit being worth 5%), solving in-class puzzles, and top performance on the projects. He also posted everyone's extra credit lecture notes to Canvas, which were really helpful for learning. There are three projects (worth 60% of the grade) where you have to build some sort of ML model to solve a real-world problem, and your grade is based on your model's rank on a leaderboard (the leaderboard aspect made it quite fun). Even if you don't understand everything covered in this course, you can still get a good grade, and it was a great learning experience (especially the projects). He also curved overall grades at the end, which really helped. I would highly recommend taking this class with him!
