This class was very interesting, educational and an easy A for the most part. There is a group presentation with 10 students per group where everyone reads a book and presents it. The seminar was lecture for the first hour and group presentations in the second hour, and we usually finished 30 minutes early. There are pre-class discussion questions that we're required to post based on the readings, post-class quizzes that are usually 3-5 multiple choice questions, post-presentation student evaluations, and a participation grade that is based on attendance but attendance is really only taken through the in-class submission of the post-presentation student evaluations. Readings are not really necessary to do other than having to submit a pre-class discussion question because the students will be presenting that book anyway. The lowest grades I ever heard were given to student presentations were a 14/15 so most people got an A, and once you're done with your book presentation you're essentially done with the class minus the other small assignments. Dr. Tidey is very sweet and knowledgeable and I would love to have her as a professor again! #tCFS25
