WGS 2500

TAKE LISA'S CLASSES IF YOU CAN!!! I am not a WGS major but I absolutely adored Lisa and her class. I was unbelievably lucky to get in when I didn't know how high the competition was. This class was super eye-opening and definitely brings up a lot of conversations. It can be slightly uncomfortable for some people since you have to participate in class by discussing topics with people sitting around you, but her classes have a very safe environment and everyone loosens up pretty quickly. Lisa is also super understanding when it comes to missing a class due to sickness or injury- BUT DON'T MISS HER CLASS IF YOU CAN GO. Participation and essays are basically the only grades that are given in this class and you should definitely take advantage of being able to participate in discussions and use your experiences in your essays. The essays are also widely interpretable, and she cares more about your true reflections and thoughts over grammar and other silly mistakes. If you can get your thoughts across, she'll grade you fairly easily. There are no exams or quizzes. Her class is super chill and I've learned so much from it and have come to really appreciate this class!
