I didn't feel like I actually learned much from this class. You really get what you put into it, but it's hard to put in that much when so little is asked of you. I actually wish there were a few more quizzes or something because he would kind of give us information but then not really make sure we remembered it. Weekly homework was to write up a paragraph on a disease or medical specialty that he chose for you, and most of class was spent talking about that and other random things Professor Michelet decided to bring up relating to the topic of the week. The midterm was a 2500-word paper (I just found a case study and translated it, got a 97 and I know lots of people didn't meet the word count but still got the same grade), but the final is just to write a script where you act like a nurse and a partner acts as your patient and he says he wants you to memorize but he lets you bring it into the room where you present to him so I basically just read off of it and still got 100. Also he lets you email him your script before it's due and he makes corrections so that probably helped my grade too. On vagrades you can see that most people get A- because a 95 is an A in the Nursing school so just be aware of that.
Michelet is so engaging and such a great teacher. This class is super easy, as he cares more that you learn than your grade, so everyone does pretty well. Only major grades are a 10 page essay for midterm, actually not as bad as it sounds, then a simulation for the final, also not bad and you can read directly from your script. Annoying to attend a two hour class at night but you get through it and it is only once a week.
