BIOL 3270

I am a third year biology major who was a little skeptical about taking this course based on the reviews of the other professor. I am hear to tell you that this was the most rewarding class I have ever taken at UVA. Professor Kittlesen made this class incredibly interesting and engaging. The lab for this class is worth 25% of your grade and is actually very enjoyable. There is no outside work for the lab portion you just have to complete in lab data sheets. There is a book for the lecture portion of the class, but I did not purchase it. If you attend every class and take detailed notes from what Kittlesen says you will be perfectly fine for the exams. There are bonus clicker points for going to lecture that are added on to your final grade. This was one of the few science classes at UVA that I attended every lecture for and it was completely worth it. 4 tests (no cumulative final) make up the other 75% of your grade.
