If you're a reporter, you'll have a ton of work, finding story ideas, pitching them, contacting people to interview, writing scripts, shooting, and editing your videos. You'll have a good reel for your resume by the end of the semester. If you're a producer, you're basically the tech person, who manages the video and audio quality of the reporters' videos while they're being shot (producers don't edit reporters' footage). Producers do get to work on one creative video, where they do all the things reporters usually do, the producer is just never on-camera, and their voice is never heard in the video.
