Making Sense of the Senses was super simple, easy A class! However, it was so boring. With as many options for engagements as there are, please do yourself a favor and pick a different one. Priya was accommodating, but the class was not fun or interesting. We had weekly individual and group projects, exit tickets, as well as a final project. It felt like busy work on top of classes that actually mattered to me and my career path. Priya also took attendance, so you had to be present for every lecture. I had a few of my hallmates in this EGMT with me, which is the only reason I stayed in this class. If they weren't in there, I would have switched to a different EGMT after the first lecture. #tCFfall2021
The instructor is super cool and pretty chill. The class is honestly just all right, like if you're taking this class it's because you have an interest in science. It's literally "making sense of the senses" so for those whole seven weeks, it's only going over the five senses and how they work like down to the molecular level, so if that's not your thing (hence not humanities students) then I don't recommend because you can find yourself getting bored easily. This class is heavy on group work because every week there was a group assignment to complete which definitely could be hard/annoying because having to find time in 4-5 different people's schedule every week can be difficult in college when people are doing something new every week and whatever other factors. I did really love how this class had no readings, so all the homework is videos which could be done alongside other homework if you can multitask well. #tCFfall2021
