Our Neanderthal Future, taught by Fiona Greenland, has a terrible reputation among engagements, but I would highly recommend it. The class basically gives an overview of prehistoric human history, which I already found interesting before taking the class. Professor Greenland is the kindest, most intelligent, and most passionate professor. You need to do the readings and she will cold call in class, but this is an actually interesting engagement so I would say it’s worth it. There are some in class quizzes, but don’t let that scare you because they’re fairly straightforward. I suppose the bad rep of this class comes from the two short papers you have to write, which was definitely annoying but doable. I did both of mine in probably a day each. Overall, I’d say this class is worth it because you won’t want to sleep the entire time. Professor Greenland makes this class worth it, and she wants you to succeed and gain interest in the topic.
