I took "You Were Born A Scientist," which was about how everyone is a scientist and what societal barriers there are for us to thinking that we are all scientists. This course was pretty interesting, and Dr. Kucenas is a great professor! You can tell she's really passionate about the class content, which makes her lectures really interesting. The concept of being a scientist isn't so much about the career, but how we approach the world and other people around us. There are readings for each class but if one is too long, you can skim and still submit a good reading reflection. She does ask the class a lot of questions so if you get a morning class, it might be a little quiet and awkward because not a lot of people like to respond. The final projects (there's both an individual and a group project) took so little time outside of class (like 2 ish hours total for both), so the homework aspect is very small. Overall, a super interesting class and I definitely recommend if you're into sociology! #tCFfall22
