Though this class is pretty easy assignment-wise, Prof AB was usually late to class and the 2.5 hour time block was, without fail, always extremely dull and painful to sit through. Assignment due dates were occasionally unclear, though we were rarely penalized for misunderstanding. The class was mainly based around casually examining case studies. No prior knowledge is needed for the course, but you won't learn much coming out of it, either. The class was a waste of my time as the content presented was basic human common sense and was not jazzed up to be at all interesting. If you have 2.5 hours to sit around and stare into space, you can knock out 3 credits with this class; however, if you actually want to learn something or want to use child protection material later in your career, don't drag yourself through it. There's usually a short journal or forum post in response to that week's reading (easy to skim or not necessary to answer the question) and there are a few group presentations based on readings and case studies. A few quizzes that directly quote the readings - easy.
