Professor Levy is the best!! She really cares about her students and she makes sure she knows all of them personally.

This class was a good intro to ysi - we did some career exploration stuff throughout the semester, and did a brief overview of different areas of ysi (youth work, policy, social innovation, etc). The general format of the class is readings/reading checks for homework and then we'd discuss readings in class. There was a semester-long project and we got a lot of class time to do it.

Overall, pretty easy and enjoyable class, and Professor Levy is awesome.

A great class for the folks that have started their YSI major. Professor Levy is an amazing person and you can tell she really cares about what she teaches. The grade was made up of reading checks, a group project, attendance, and two tests + a final. Everything about the class was super easy and interesting, but if you don't read the readings, there is no chance you are going to do well on the tests. Almost every single question comes directly from the readings and after ignoring them for the first test, I quickly learned how important they were. Sometimes if you don't read close enough, the tests can be difficult but overall the class is one that I would take again.
