It's a great course. The four days a week format, combined with the small class size and emphasis on group work makes it so you really get to know your classmates. Professor Ma is a great teacher and she puts a strong emphasis on having the students explain the material themselves which really helps to learn the material better. There's a decent amount of homework, but it's a really group-oriented atmosphere so you can always get help. Overall, I think the homework is all really useful in helping to understand the material. Highly recommend this course for anyone who enjoys math.
It's a solid and overlooked course for those who are strong in math and want to go further in depth in math than what a standard single or multivariable course does (topics such as Simpson's Rule, Newton's Method, and applications of what's taught in class). Professor Ma is approachable and accessible during class and office hours. This course is also nice since it's not in a large lecture hall and is more of a discussion style class. Just make sure to do the assigned readings and Webassigns before the due dates.
