This course is easy as long as you stay engaged in the course, completing all the in-class assignments and sticking with a reasonable timeline for completing the project with your partner. I would not start your project assignment submissions a day or two before it is due (although you can do this for the first two assignments and it would be fine). I would attend lecture just to make taking the in-class quizzes easier as it's based on what is taught in lecture. I would recommend this course as a fun and easy CS elective. Upsorn is also just a nice teacher who really cares about her students and how they are learning. If anything, I would take any course with her just because she is teaching it. My only problem with the course is that it teaches you a wide range of webdev tools but none in a lot of depth. However due to the nature of the course, Upsorn only teaches enough to introduce the tools (AJAX, Angular, HTML, CSS) so that you can go off on your own and explore it. This is most likely due to not having enough time more in depth. If you are expecting to learn all these tools in depth, then that is not what you will get. If you want to learn about basic web dev, then this is the right course for you.
Professor Upsorn was really nice and really wanted everyone to learn! With that being said, this course is structured where she teaches you the languages you need for the project and it goes into development principles at first. The project is really up to you and you can make it as complicated or as simple as you want it to be. Grade wise, this is a pretty easy class; I got over a 100% on the project just by simply following all the instructions and including everything on the grading criteria + doing the bonus. Quizzes are weekly and can be tricky but just read through her notes on the website and you should be fine. Class participation is just submitting something during the in-class days. Overall, I would recommend this class if you're at all interested in full stack development and you really do learn applicable skills in this class. Upsorn is a super nice teacher who wants students to be motivated and engaged.
Easy enough course. Will be a breeze if you are already proficient with HTML, CSS, and some JavaScript beforehand. If not, you kinda need to know HTML and CSS beforehand, it’s not really taught. Group project wasn’t bad, quizzes are fairly easy (as long as you pay attention in lecture). Also learned a little bit of Angular and AJAX. Not sure if this course was worth taking, but it’s definitely easy.
This class is actually pretty fun and the professor is always excited to teach. Not too difficult at all, just gotta show up for the quizzes and inclass assignments, which are cake if you go to class. The project throughout the semester is a group project, but I did it myself with ease and probably spent 10 hours total throughout the semester on HW. Highly recommend if you have any interest in web dev stuff or just want an easy class.
