EDHS 3200

This is probably my favorite class I've taken at UVa. It was scheduled for Tuesday/Thursday, but we only met in class on Thursday's (tuesday class was replaced by a 150-250 word forum post based on that week's topics). the class is out of 100 points, so each point you miss on any assignment you can just knock that off your final grade starting at 100%. We had 4 reading quizzes all worth 5 points each, 10 forum posts worth 3 points each, a 1 minute digital media project worth 20 points, a student athlete presentation (didn't actually present) 10 points, Participation & attendance 10 points, and periodically when we had a speaker on a thursday, on tuesday we would have a speaker series post in place of our forum and these equalled 10 points to your final grade. We talked about big issues like transition from college to careers for athletes, the UNC report "paper classes" scandal, the Duke rape allegations, alcoholism, gambling, etc. Dr. Harris is great and makes this a class I'm always excited to go to. Must take!
