BIOL 2200

Caroline Bush is a fairly nice person but she is an extremely harsh grader. I've had lab sections in the past and none of the TA's graded this harshly. It is impossible to get a 100% on a post lab assignment with Bush. Even if you do everything perfectly, she takes off at least one point for a reason that you weren't aware you had to include. After doing poorly on one of the first labs, I started asking more questions during lab and asking her to come over to our group to read over different parts of our lab assignment. Even after following her suggestions, it was never good enough which was extremely frustrating. My group would almost always spend the full 2 and 1/2 hours of lab trying to perfect our post lab assignment. Other lab sections that took place at the same as mine would always get let out early though. Caroline also rambles. She enjoys lecturing too much and spends too much time at the beginning of lab over explaining things that we are about to discover in lab. If you ask her a question during lab, she talks and talks but rarely actually answers your question, or at least it takes her way too long to answer it. This class was extremely frustrating mostly due to the fact that Caroline was extremely nit picky in her grading when the lab is supposed to boost your overall bio grade, which it did not with Caroline Bush.
