BIOL 4090

This is a fantastic course! Compared to all of the other upper level biology classes, it is a much smaller class size which is awesome. Throughout the semester, we had to give two 10-15 minute presentations and write two 5 ish page papers on topics of our choice. The class is totally driven by whatever environmental public health topic you want. There is barely any work! After our presentations, we had a week to write the paper so during that time it was busy, but overall very very relaxed. I would highly recommend this class for anyone looking to improve their public speaking skills and their scientific writing. Kopeny takes a lot of time to edit your papers and give very thorough and constructive feedback. I really enjoyed this class!!
