Zunz is nice but very disorganized. The class and writing assignments are not very hard and you can always revise anything, but can be very boring and the tests were weird. Only take if you really are interested in improving your grammar.

frustratingly disorganized professor, though she is very, very nice... she always made excuses about not having our assignments graded, and I felt that we should have had more worksheet-type of learning, as counterintuitive as that seems. but if you're trying to learn grammar, drilling is KEY, and that was lacking in this course.

which would have all been FINE (except the sad fact that I felt like I learned so little), since the average hours of work for this class was close to zero, but it was frustrating to hear her complain about how crazy-busy she was and therefore wasn't able to complete the work that she had had to do. almost every time she had to give us something back. overall, tragic - so wanted to like her/her class, but ultimately I'm just glad to be getting out.

Zunz is a great professor, really smart, but a little disorganized. The class is worthwhile in my opinion, I learned a lot about grammar. Some students said the grading was arbitrary but I didn't see that

Prof Zunz is quite a mastermind when it comes to French. She knows how to make the class both interesting and attracting. As long as you look over the documents on Collab, you will be sure to do Great in the class.

Really boring class, could be helpful if you put the effort into memorizing all the sheets she gives you. Writing assignments are graded VERY CAREFULLY

Class moves slowly, interesting bits here and there. Required to move forward in French, though. Translation is a lot tougher than you think.
