For a 3000-level French class, I was a little disappointed in how easy it was. Professor Krueger is absolutely lovely - so kind and friendly and really cares about her students. However, I can't say that I learned much. For each class, there was either a reading or a film to watch, but there was almost no accountability for if you did the work; you had to do writing assignments about five of the readings and four of the movies, but you could choose which readings/movies to write about. There were a few presentations/projects, but they were fairly simple. There were no quizzes/tests/exams. Also, a few of the assigned movies were in English, which made no sense. Overall, I enjoyed a lot of the readings and films, but I didn't take away much from this class - it usually felt like a waste of time, since I don't think my French improved much during the semester. I feel bad about saying this because I loved Professor Krueger.
