Janet Horne is a wonderful woman and a great teacher. We covered quite a bit of material but it wasn't very difficult. She likes to throw out fun/unrelated facts at random and is willing to help if you're having any trouble with writing or speaking. Highly recommended!

Easy class. Almost all of the time was spent with Mme Horne talking about minutia in French history, which would have been wonderful if I had already known the basics. All graded work is in the form of journal entries/short papers. Most of the grading was based on grammar/vocab mistakes, which is strange bc little of the class time covered those things.

Best course I have taken at UVa. She is exceptional.
