This course is definitely one to take if you see yourself having a career in sports medicine, athletic training, physical therapy, etc. Luzita is a great professor overall and you can tell she really cares about her students. This was the first semester Luzita taught it, and I was slightly disappointed with how she has organized the class. The first two tests were on emergency considerations and research methods, which are both often covered in other KINE classes. The third test was shoulder, elbow, hand wrist, hip, knee, thigh, ankle, and foot injuries. It was insane, and the exam covered a lot of things she didn't even talk about in class. If you've taken MSK this class shouldn't be too hard for you, but make sure you have a handle on the basics coming in. Taking this with biomechanics is kind of nice because you can make connections between the classes, but it's not a must. Overall, this class is fun and Luzita is great, but don't expect it to be an easy A kind of class. You definitely have to put in study time before quizzes and tests, but if you enjoy learning about this type of material then it won't be a big deal to you!
