Prof. Groff is incredibly informed on her topics and is clearly a very smart woman who is super engaged in French. However, she insisted that she was required to assign at least 2 hours of homework a night for a class that met three times a week. The amount of homework was intense, with lengthy blog posts every night in addition to readings and other materials, and she expected zero mistakes in the writing, taking off tons of points for errant missed accents and other simple mistakes. She was also not understanding at all of tardiness or missed classes. A wonderful woman who I would want to talk to for hours about French, but a difficult teacher- would not recommend this class (with her) if you're taking anything else that could be time consuming.
