To be honest, this class wasn't impossible but it wasn't my favorite. Generally, the class structure was easy with a couple writing assignments here and there. Prof. Zunz allowed you to correct every writing assignment, which most definitely saved my grades. The quizzes were very difficult for me. Her classroom structure was based on lectures and the lectures were difficult for me to follow along, but her office hours were extremely helpful and i would definitely recommend going. Outside of class, there wasn't much work besides a fairly easy writing assignment that was submitted every week. The writing assignment would be based off of what we learned that week. The final for my class was open notes, but still very hard for me. I managed to get a B in this class, but it is definitely not an easy A. However, Prof. Zunz is one of the sweetest professors I have met and she's very generous with grading.
Professor Zunz's lessons simply reiterated the book chapters that were assigned; her lectures are nothing special, though I did feel like I was improving slowly. This is unfortunate and kind of sad for me to write because she is one of the nicest professors I have ever met! She gives you papers to write, grades them with a critical eye (being a native speaker and all), but then allows you to correct the papers, which is nice. The course was fine and very easy at times, but I truly care about the language and do not completely understand it, so I honestly kind of wish I took another professor. It's a very average course. Oh well, "c'est la vie!"
