Great professor! If you took 1050 or any prior French classes at UVA this course is basically all review. You can definitely tell that she puts effort into varying class activities, finding relevant topics, and making the lives of students easier. My grade was A until final exam, so the grading system is very fair to how much work you put in except for the final exam.
Dr. Hall is a great professor and I definitely suggest taking FREN 2010 with her if you can. The content and format of the class are very similar to all other French classes at UVA (ePortfolio, writing and oral projects, VHL homework, practice activities in class, etc). Dr. Hall uses specifications grading so it is less stressful to get a good grade. It is super evident that Dr. Hall cares about her students and wants them to succeed. She is very knowledgeable and taught in a way that was easy to understand while still learning a lot.
Mme Hall is an excellent French teacher and I highly recommend taking French classes with her! This course used spec grading which honestly let me focus more on learning French than trying to get a good grade. Class time was used to review activities through practice either from the textbook or examples from her slides. Tests and quizzes are based on the textbook, so as long as you know that, you should be fine.

Professor Hall is great. She is very knowledgable and gives appropriate level work. I have learned in her class and other students enjoy it too. She uses specifications grading (you pick a grade bundle and have to achieve a certain score on a certain number of assignments to get each grade) and I have had a really positive experience with it so far. She also allows quiz retakes and test corrections. I would highly recommend her!
Mme. Hall is very nice! She genuinely cares for the well-being of her students. The class is structured somewhat like a high school course. Homework is completed online on "Supersite" which helps you learn the concepts but often is frustrating due to automated grading errors and incomprehensible listening activities. There are 3 writing assignments that include a draft and final version, so it's not hard to get an A (but they're time consuming). Tests are alright; I averaged about a 93 and barely studied- Supersite does a good job of preparing you and tests only cover 1 chapter of vocab and grammar. My only complaint is that tests take up 1/4 of classes- but then agin, lots of time is spent learning outside of class.
