EVSC 2801

This course is very easy. It is also beneficial to the main course, EVSC 2800. As long as you do the minimal weekly reading and follow the rubric on the 2-3 projects, you will be fine. The hardest part of this class by far is the Rock and Mineral exam (where you are expected to know facts about and recognize 70+ rocks and minerals) that counts 25% of your grade. It's nothing that you can't easily study for, however (i.e. go to Brown Library with the rock boxes and go to the review session). The field trips are pretty cool too. This class is useful to aid in understanding of the main course (and is obviously required for EVSC majors).
