Just take the class next semester with another professor.

Don't take a Linda Blum class

Would only recommend this course if you're planning on majoring in Environmental Science or something related. The tests are very difficult due to the fact that Blum pulls out very specific facts from lecture and expects you to know them on the test. Also, the subject is insanely boring to someone who's not interested in science.

The worst professor. Linda successfully took one of the most straightforward subjects and made it nearly impossible. Her tests were ridiculous and completely irrelevant, therefore if you want to take a test asking what your textbook is then go ahead, otherwise wait for the other professor.

Although this class can be dry, I think that if you love the subject and get to know the professor, this can be a really fun easy class. However, don't take this class if you are looking for an easy science credit! I recommend going to office hours and making flash cards to do well in the course!

Linda Blum's lectures are very boring, and hard to follow. I didn't find the exams very fair or easy, even though the material in class was less difficult. Don't take this class if you're trying to find an easy Science requirement to fulfill. I'm in EVSC 1300 Climate and Weather now, and it's much easier.

I signed up thinking this course would be like AP environmental....it incorporated so many different science topics. The tests were extremely difficult because of the amount of information that she squeezed in to each test. It was supposed to be an easy science credit....definitely don't take Linda Blum!

I took this class thinking it would be an easy A and it did not live up to my expectations. Linda Blum's lectures were boring, often unrelated to test material, and sometimes it seemed as if she did not know what she was talking about. Even if you attended lectures and did all the readings, there were still some questions on the test that we had never covered in or out of class and thus were nearly impossible to answer.

This class is NOT an easy class despite it being an Intro class. Do not take Linda Blum. Her lectures are very boring. The only grades are 4 tests (one she drops and trust me you will need it). Good news they are all multiple choice. Bad news they aren't always fair questions and the answers not only can't be found in her powerpoint slides but also the TEXTBOOK. I recommend doing ALL of the readings.

I am going to major in Environmental Science, and I would still suggest you do NOT take Linda Blum's class. Her lectures are boring and fairly unrelated to the readings. She often has to correct herself, doesn't seem to know what she is saying or talking about, and is VERY difficult to follow. Knowing the material, I could tell when the questions were meant to trick you rather than test your knowledge. She pulls material out of left field. I did not find her approachable for help either.
Lesson is: DO NOT TAKE LINDA BLUM'S CLASS!!!
