Professor Blair is really cool, totally laid back, and knows her writing. The class is very helpful, but of course if you're not into writing you're not going to care. She lets you write your own stuff with a very broad degree of freedom, and you have to write two short stories and do a few other things but the workload is very manageable. Basically, it comes down to whether you're interested in doing workshops: usually a typical class period is a discussion on one or two reading assignments (short stories), and a critique of two short stories of your peers.
