CHEM 2311

This class is a godsend IF you get a good TA. Some TAs are harder than others, but Burnett takes that into account when he determines final grades at the end of the semester. Jesse Zhao is awesome. Lab is only every other week and you only write 5 reports. Grade is made up of the 5 reports, 5 quizzes, participation/behavior, and the final, which isn't too bad if you go to recitation. Samy is a great resource and recitations really help you write the reports succinctly and correctly. Lab lectures aren't that important, but recitation really is.

There are 5 lab reports due each week and 5 quizzes that you have to do before you start a lab. TAs will give you a basic guideline to how your pre-lab work should be like (doesn't take a lot of time to do). your grade depends on your TA. Some TAs are easy and some are hard. The final exam was easy; just memorize all of the power points Samy goes over. Some people got the curve to their grades some people didn't (really weird grading). Otherwise, it's not that bad.
