Do not take this course unless you need to. It is a lot of work and requires you to memorize/teach yourself a considerable amount of information. Massey is not a great lecturer. Most of the lecture time is wasted on Poll Everywhere, but she doesn't format it correctly so half the time we can't even see the questions we are answering. Lecture exams are very easy if you take the time to study the learning targets beforehand. I would create study guides answering in great detail each of the bulleted learning targets and did great on the exams. The lab exams are where grades start to drop. On the second lab exam I started studying one of the lab TA's anki flashcard sets and it had almost 800 terms. Spelling counts and you only have 1 min 30 sec at each station to answer 4-5 specific questions. She was nice this semester and decided to let us have an additional 30 sec at each station for a second round through, however this is barely enough time to think--let alone check spelling or reread questions. Despite the difficultly of the lab exams they only total to about 6.5% of the total course grade. She also drops a lot of grades, keeping only the top scores of each type of assignment and provides very easy extra credit opportunities for all the lecture exams. There are two lab exams, four lecture exams, and one final. Either the final or the lowest lecture exam will be dropped. Even if you fail both lab exams (which I did) there is still a high chance of getting an A or A- if you study hard for the lecture exams. Anatomy is typically a hard course, but Massey makes an A achievable.
