I absolutely loved having Christine for my ENWR teacher. I basically just signed up for her section of ENWR because it was one of the few that worked with my schedule. The topic ended up being on Cover Songs (and how they relate to the American experience). Completely random, yes, but I ended up loving it. It was a really interesting way to approach understanding American pop culture and history. Christine chose really insightful readings and videos for us to dive deeper into, and we really covered a broad scope of content in this course. I'm so glad I ended up taking my ENWR with her. She graded the essays very fairly (while always prodding you to consider further questions) and gives you the chance to revise them. There was one relatively easy group project at the end of the semester. One more tip - be sure to talk during discussions! Yes, it gives you participation points, but it also makes the time go by faster and helps you engage with the content.
