ENWR 1510

(I actually took this fall '24) Spencer is such a great instructor and really passionate about talking about gender in speculative fiction and writing, so you couldn't help but love this class. The class was graded on the specifications model which made assignments extremely stress-free and engaging. There was a reading response assignment every few weeks (which weren't difficult) and three essays, but Spencer gives very thorough feedback and really wants to help you become a better writer. I also really enjoyed the topic because you got to write about literally any form of fiction that deals with gender, which meant you had extreme freedom to write about any movie/book/show/album/etc you wanted in your essays. I don't really like academic writing, but in this class I actually enjoyed it.

Overall a pretty easy course and very engaging material. Spencer is awesome as well and couldn't recommend them as an instructor enough. Take this ENWR!! #tCFF24
