Katherine's ENWR, Chivalry, can be interesting and engaging. This class consists of three papers, though the last one doesn't have to be a paper if you don't want it to be, growing in size and expectation. There are also a few "hyperglossing assignments," which are basically fancy margin notes to learn close reading, a few in class assignments, and a couple of readings each week that you have to write a 350-word response to. I don't think this is the easiest ENWR by any means; I've heard other people say they have less assignments, and Katherine herself says she's a strict grader. However, you're given a chance to revise your papers, which I *highly* suggest doing if you want a good grade. The readings aren't split up evenly; you're given the same amount on Monday that you're given on Wednesday, so you only have two days to do your Monday readings and five days to do your Wednesday readings. She tried to fix this by sending us our required readings at the beginning of each week, but I honestly don't think starting the Wednesday readings before your Monday lecture is a good idea. Katherine herself, however, is super nice and understanding; she really encourages you to engage in class discussions, and she'll give an extension without hesitation if need be. As an instructor, I'd recommend Katherine. As a class, however, there are easier ENWRs to take that fulfill the requirement.
