I took Food and Culture with Ms. Gilger and loved it. The discussions we had in class were always up to date with what was going on in the real world and interesting. She is very good at explaining what she wants in your papers and is willing to help you during her office hours if you are stuck. As long as you listen to the required content she wants in the paper, you will get at least a B on your papers.

I really liked the way Professor Gilger taught our course. The subject was "Protest" and for the first 3/4ths of the course we read short pieces and discussed them and wrote two 6 page papers about them. I didn't love the way Professor Gilger modeled our papers but it wasn't too hard to follow the directions. The last quarter of the class was based on making your own protest movement, which was an exercise I really enjoyed. I would encourage getting a good group and interesting topic as we made a lot of documents together and wrote a final paper on the project.
