The materials cover a variety of sources, journals, movies, etc. that give you a whole new perspective in American foreign policy. The class itself was interesting because it strayed away from the traditional thinking and patriotism of American citizens. However, the prof. Kapoor at times can be confusing and repetitive; he at times fail to answer your question or in an attempt to clarify certain topics, he confuses you even more. Overall, the class did improve my writing and did provide me wisdom and deeper insight into American politics.

He's a smart guy and brings up some really great points in the discussion. However, he is also a tough grader, and can be very vague with what he wants. You will talk to him about your writing, and he will throw so much out there that it becomes very difficult to discern what exactly he wants from you. With that being said, if you prepare yourself by reading, write well, show an improvement over the course and do all of the writing assignments with some effort, you will do well.
