There really isn't much to say here:
1. This course does social psych better than Social Psych does.
2. Professor Chou has a gift and every class was practically worthy of a standing ovation.
3. Aside from a few short-but-annoying policy papers that are rather ambiguously graded, the course is exceptionally manageable, and very easy to do well in.
This class lives up to the hype, and I would recommend it to anyone regardless of year or major.
This class now has the acronym LPPL. Professor Chou is hands down one of the greatest lecturers at UVA. This class teaches you how to be an impactful citizen in society and I thoroughly enjoyed it. Nothing is too hard, just requires a little brain power. Just try really hard on every assignment and an A is doable. Not much else to say here except TAKE THIS CLASS! It will change your life...
Professor Chou is the best. She is a very engaging lecturer and is really quite a captivating speaker. In terms of grades, this class consists of around 4 short papers, a group case project, a midterm, and final. The papers can sometimes be rather ambiguously graded but it really depends on your TA. Everything else is pretty easy to do well on. All in all I found this to be a pretty easy laidback class and I honestly looked forward to hearing Professor Chou speak every week.
