This was Stephen Cushman's Poetic Forms seminar, and it was easily one of the greatest classes that I've taken in three years at the University. The course emphasizes the historical tradition of poetic forms, as well as the formal intricacies, and how to best use form to advance meaning in poems. He gives the option of writing prose or poetry for the seminar project, which was great. No other course has contributed to my writing like this one has.
