CHEM 1400

I 1000% recommend taking this class if you need to take intro chem at some point but either didn't take AP chem or just don't remember much from it. It was a great refresher course, and I can definitely say that it has helped me LOADS this semester in intro - I would seriously be so confused if I hadn't taken foundations. Jenn is so sweet and incredible approachable, and she genuinely wants everyone to do well and understand the concepts. I don't love group work in general, and this is what class time is spent on for this course, but I still learned loads and found new ways to remember little tidbits of information that I still use this year in intro. The homework is mostly relatively short readings and a few worksheets, but you should definitely actually do them since when you get to class you are expected to be prepared for the group classwork.

As someone who struggles with chemistry, this class was super helpful in making me feel more comfortable in the subject. Professor Maeng was super nice and patient, and she is always ready to help you if you need it. This class is a really easy A if you keep up on the assignments and study the minimum for the tests.
