I took Devils in English Literature with Professor Rowe and absolutely loved it. Professor Rowe has so much knowledge on the subject and challenges you with new perspectives on things each class. You have to do 3 forum postings about the readings each week, which are not bad at all. There are 2 6-8 page papers and a final. I definitely recommend this class if you like to read and write a lot. #tcf2016
I'm going to disagree with my fellow classmate.
Mrs. Rowe is well-versed on the topic, I think she's fair, and I like her a lot. She does take a while to grade things, though, and that can be a nuisance. The forum postings do tend to be a bit irritating - there is no need for this many of them. Three a week for 16 weeks is overkill, in my book. You're also going to be doing more reading than any other ENLT class I know of. My friend took the Beastiary and had to read 40-50 pages for each class. We that's the absolute minimum we've ever read, but recently it's been a quite a bit more. We've read 100 pages for a class period here recently. In my book, that's a bit much. Also, there is a final for this class and there are other ENLTs that don't have one.
This is more of a mixed bag, in my book. I did certainly learn a lot, but I thought the class could have easily been just as effective without the more intimidating workload.
