Professor Haury is SO kind and knowledgeable! She may come across as scattered as a young mom, but she knows her stuff and is more than willing to help you if you ask! The course will be interesting to you if you like the writing of the time period (both poetry and prose). We covered most famous American authors during the late 19th-early 20th centuries, and she also made a distinct effort to display female writers and writers of color when possible. We move through an author a week, which can be a decent amount of reading depending on the book. Would absolutely recommend this class if you're remotely interested in the content/time period!
