Overall, a really easy class. I love the structure of Delong's classes: you get lectured to for a maximum of about 30-45 minutes once, maybe twice a week, and then you implement what he was teaching you on the board. Lots of hands-on practice. The TAs and Delong are really there to help you at all times and the class grading structure is really built for you to succeed. The work is all really cumulative so if you do everything on time and try to understand what you're doing you'll be totally fine for the take home exams throughout the semester. The first two assignments of the semester (for me writing in assembly or something) were probably the hardest. Really a light workload class - I finished all my assignments during class time.
Not as easy of an A as before, since DeLong is making us do full lab reports and a final exam. However, still a pretty easy class, since you get to work in groups and for the most part answers are given for the first half of the semester. TAs are helpful, but most of the time they just say to look at the data sheet.
It's fairly easy to get an A in the class if you finish each project. Delong is a great teacher and genuinely wants to teach his students how to be good engineers. He has a lot of industry experience and structures his class in order to prepare students. The class is all lab time and expect to spend significant time on completing projects which are due every week or every other week. My advice is to make sure to read the hardware documentation he provides and be persistent.
