I took this class virtually over J-Term and it was a pretty easy A. Everyday Professor Golino posts the materials for the day which usually includes recorded lectures and readings. Additionally, almost everyday there is quiz (7 quizzes total) which just tests the information you learned that day. Finally, there are 3 exams but they are not that bad if you have done the work for the previous days.
**I took the Psychology of Misinformation J-Term 2026 but that wasn't an option**
This class is fine. Information is interesting and has the potential to be engaging but the quizzes and exams are bad. Prof Golino asks questions that are more geared at testing your recall of the information rather than your actual understanding of it (a lot of questions like "which was NOT mentioned in the reading", etc.). I won't complain too much about this, however, because all of the quizzes and exams are two attempts so it ends up not being that big of a deal. My other major complaint is the spacing of the work. During the first week, I only had to spend a couple hours a day doing the work, maybe 3-4. However, the second week was super intense with upwards of 10 studies to read a day plus all the other textbook readings. It just seems like the work could have been spaced out much better rather than dumping it all on you at the end. Also, the second textbook we read was riddled with typos which made it frustrating (nothing that interfered with my understanding of the information, just annoying to see in a published piece of work being used as the source of our learning). I recommend taking this class because it's easy but I would not like to take an in-person class with this professor.
