ENGR 1620

Prof. Lung did an excellent job with how he prepared this course. I always had the impression that he really cared about whether we understood the material and tried to answer all questions in depth. Not only was the homework constructive in learning the material, but the in-class explanations and Q/A really helped to cement the concepts. The workload in general was very light, with only 4 homework assignments over the entire semester and a group report at the very end. Overall it was a very good experience and I would definitely recommend this section to future students.

This class was one of my favorites during my first semester at UVa. I wasn't very interested in the course material (BOD, Chesapeake Bay, etc), but Professor Lung is very knowledgeable and the grading is generous.

Looking back, what this class offered most was the opportunity to meet fellow engineers that aren't necessarily of the same major.
