If you love Faulkner, this is the class for you. If not, expect detailed lectures, tons of reading, three 10-page essays, and a likely B+/A-.

Bill Wilson is one of the best professors I've had at UVA. Brilliant guy, really nice, super helpful during office hours, and gives an interesting perspective on Faulkner during "Wilson's Story Hour." Reading is very manageable and the course consists of three 8-10 page papers (which he grades very fairly). Overall, a great class that I highly recommend for anyone.

Great professor! Your typical soft-spoken, well-dressed Southern gentleman. Hilarious and very nice and approachable. A true expert. If you like literature and consider yourself a decent writer, this class is for you. Not very difficult if you can write.
