Fun, hands-on class. Not your typical lecture-exam class. No exams (when I took it at least), just weekly short response papers to the assigned readings that you could probably do just reading the first few pages of the reading. Class is given thousands of REAL dollars to allocate to local non-profits, so the work that you do in groups and individually to evaluate their grant proposals and understand their organization is extremely meaningful. We went on mini-field trips to visit some o the organizations and to see their work in action. At the end, there's a banquet in which you get to hand out physical checks (the giant ones you see on TV) to the organizations and really feel like you've made a difference. On top of all these feel-good things, it's a fairly easy A as long as you complete the assignments. Highly recommend.
