A lot of reading. But if you do all of the readings, and participate in class, you should be fine. but beware it is a lot of work, although it is very rewarding. prof. mershon is great, very helpful and very enthusiastic.

Stay away from Mershon!! The material that she teaches on is interesting and she has a great grasp on the subject, but she is very disorganized and scatterbrained. Even though she is very nice that is front, in the end she is a out of touch scholar that does not care about encouraging your interest in the subject.
