ENGL 3830

Out of all of the History of English series, this one is the best. Cushman and Levenson are great lecturers and really keep you engaged, whether its through literature, music or jokes. The literature was great, with works from Yeats, Joyce, Hemingway, Bishop, etc. Brandon Walsh is an awesome TA and will help you every step of the way! There are weekly reading quizzes (which can vary in difficulty, depending on your TA), a midterm, and a final. The reading is not bad and I recommend doing most of it.

Joanna Swafford is a great TA. This is the best class out of the ENGL 3800 series. Cushman and Levenson are engaging, efficient, and humorous.

Awesome class. Life changing.
